— Care Guide

Natural fibres grow more beautiful with the years — tended quietly, washed gently, allowed to rest. A few notes from the house.

— Cotton

A familiar fibre, soft and forgiving. With each wash it grows quieter — more pliant, more itself. Cotton asks only for warmth, mild detergent, and a moment of patience.

— Wash

Machine wash at 40 °C on a gentle cycle with similar colours. Use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, which dull the natural finish.

— Dry

Tumble dry on low, or line dry in the shade. A short tumble at the end will soften the weave. Do not wring.

— Iron

Iron at medium to high heat while still slightly damp. Steam draws out creases with the lightest hand.

— Store

Folded in a cool, dry drawer. Allow the fibre to breathe — never store in plastic.

— Cotton · Anti-Stain Finish

Our tablecloths in woven cotton carry a quiet, invisible finish — enough to send wine and oil rolling lightly back. The protection lives in the heat of the iron, and asks only to be renewed after each wash.

— Wash

Machine wash at 30 — 40 °C on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners and bleach — both quietly erode the finish.

— Dry

Tumble dry on low, or line dry in the shade. The cloth must be fully dry before it meets the iron.

— Iron · Reactivate

After every wash, iron the cloth on the reverse side at medium to high heat. The warmth wakes the finish back into action — a small, essential ritual to keep the cloth as it was.

— Spills

Lift gently with a soft cloth and warm water. Avoid harsh stain removers — they thin the coating over time.

— Store

Folded loosely in a cool, dry drawer. Never store in plastic — the cloth needs air to breathe.

— Cashmere

Soft, slow, quietly warm. Cashmere is a fibre of small kindnesses — gathered by hand, knitted with care. It rewards patience and dislikes haste.

— Wash

Hand wash in cool water (max 30 °C) with a mild wool detergent. Press gently, never rub. Rinse twice in clean water.

— Dry

Roll in a clean towel to absorb moisture, then lay flat to dry on a fresh towel. Never tumble dry. Reshape gently while damp.

— Iron

Use the lowest setting with a thin press cloth, only if needed. A handheld steamer at a distance is gentler still.

— Store

Folded — never hung — in a breathable cotton bag. A piece of cedar nearby keeps moths at rest.

— Silk & Cashmere

A quiet marriage of two fibres — the cool gloss of silk, the warm hush of cashmere. Treated as one, with a hand even lighter than either alone.

— Wash

Hand wash gently in cool water (max 30 °C) with a mild silk or wool detergent. Dry cleaning is also welcome. Avoid rubbing or twisting.

— Dry

Roll between two towels to draw the water out, then lay flat away from direct sun. Do not hang while wet — the weight will stretch the weave.

— Iron

Iron on the reverse side at very low heat while slightly damp. Avoid steam directly on the silk face.

— Store

Folded loosely in tissue or a cotton bag, away from direct light. Refold along different lines from time to time.
